How I REALLY Feel About EXO's Controversy

Heads low, hopes down. The question is, are we still one?

It's been a few days since we all heard the news about Kris' lawsuit against SM Entertainment. That news came from nowhere and shot us continuously. It felt like the saying, "When it rains, it pours." And until now, fans like me are still devastated about it.

Sadness and frustration aren't the right words to describe how I really feel right now. It feels so depressing that I feel so numb at the moment. I don't know where to vent my feelings anymore. I felt like everything stopped at the moment the news came, and it never continued. I couldn't fathom what I exactly feel right now, and I know is that I'm sad…and depressed.

How is EXO right now? I don't know. Everything's messed up, even news. I don't know who exactly to believe, and which sources are legit. Everything's damn messed up. Confiscation of phones, slapping of members, and manipulation of media—they're all a mess. Which is legit? Which are lies? They're all a mess we all can't clean up to look for what we're finding.

But one thing's for sure. They're all not okay. The other members were shocked, upset, and felt betrayed. Kris was seen crying alone in China. They're all not in their best condition.

What happens after this? There are only two things I can properly think of: Kris officially leaving EXO and the others continuing their career as 11 or Kris staying with the boys as 12. Whatever path they'll take, they'll only feel incomplete. Why? For the first option, it's going to be hard since the other members need to fill up the space Kris left. For the the other one, Kris might feel uneasy most of the times, even though he'll project to the camera as if nothing went wrong.

Whatever happens, we still need to be one. Even if Kris leaves, we still have 11 members to support. I don't care anymore if they'll continue as 12 or push through as 11, as long as they'll be happy and peaceful with their career. Sure, it would be kind of awkward seeing them as 11, but let's all face it. We only have a small possibility that Kris might not leave (or rejoin if ever) EXO. He's having a hard time since then, and he wants to have a peaceful and stress-free life. I'm not foreseeing them as 11 members, but sometimes we have to accept that things won't be as we wish.

If you think I'm supporting EXO as 11, that's okay. I'm just preparing myself for some heartbreak when Kris will officially leave EXO. If you think I'm supporting EXO as 12, *fandom hug*.

But for now, let's just wait. Wait for legit updates about how Kris is doing with the lawsuit. I'm not sure where this is going, but I hope that EXO would continue their career as 12. Because they started as 12, gained awards as 12, and hopefully end their career as 12. And also, let's continue supporting the guys. They're still promoting Overdose, and have a concert just around the corner. We want them to achieve their dreams, right?

Anyway, I'm ending this up. I guess I vented everything I wanted to say here. It's okay to hate me for this post, really.

Kris and the Recent Lawsuit

Honestly, I don't know what to freaking say about the issue right now. All I know is that Kris filed a case on SM to terminate his contract. The rest? I don't know, and I don't wanna know it right now.

Upon hearing the news and seeing the comments from my source, I thought that everything was clear and it was only a rumor. But as seeing the update, I barely don't know how to respond on this. I mean, damn. They're at the peak of their career, yet they're starting to fall. And it hurts like fucking hell. I mean, why? Why all of a sudden? Why did this come up right now when we're all happy for them? Why?

I've been telling my friend about how EXO grasped her attention again to K-pop and how EXO was popular last year. Now that I've thought about it, I realized that their--no. I realized that every idol's career has flaws, even though he is at the top. And it hurts seeing Kris hurting, EXO hurting, and the fandom hurting all at the same time.

But who are we? We're just fans. Honestly speaking, we're just fans here to support our idol in whatever they do. Whether they're happy or sad, we're always there to support them no matter what. But the case here is a member leaving, and it's a serious business between the idol and the agency. It's kinda hard to accept but, we can't do anything about our idol's decisions. It's his life, his problems, his decisions. And we're just here to support him in whatever path he'll be taking.

EXO will never be the same again without Kris. But the pain we're feeling now isn't half of the pain Cassies felt when JYJ left the group. The pain we're feeling isn't half the pain all the fandoms of the first generation idols felt when these idols disbanded. This is just a single scar, but a scar that would remain. But the sad truth is that they will disband as well. Not today, not tomorrow, but someday in our lives when we know that they have done enough to leave a mark on the industry.

For Kris, I hope that your decision would make you happy and peaceful. For EXO, stay strong guys. "We are one," right? For the fandom, let's stay strong as well. For SM Entertainment, fix yourselves please. Shit has been with you since Lee Soo Man left.

Whatever happens right now, I hope that everything will be okay in the future.

About the Hashtag #ExoFansAndChicserFansPEACE

I don't know why I'm venting this out right now. Maybe fans might hate me for this, but I think I really need to vent this out. Whatever happens, I just want to say that this is just my opinion and solely my opinion. Not your opinion, not everybody else's opinion.

There is a recent hashtag on twitter telling #ExoFansAndChicserFansPEACE, telling that the two fandoms to just stop the fanwar going on between these two. I should be siding on EXO right now, but I guess it's about time to get a little bit human on the situation.

Whenever I click this trend, I mainly see not only those fans telling that they're sorry, but also fans who are immature enough not to put down their pride just for once. Honestly, this peace may be, or may be not, achievable. Why? Both because of the humble fans and the immature fans.

To the humble fans who already said their sorry to others, kudos to you for putting down your pride. I'm not telling that those immature ones are bad, but come on. We are all imperfect. I know fanwars are a huge thing within groups, and we are all familiar about it. But please, whoever started to trend that hashtag wanted peace already. He is already tired of stupid fanwars which I guess won't end for like forever.

I get his point. It's kinda tired seeing hate posts between fans. I've been seeing recent fanwars between S♥NEs and Blackjacks, and all I ever do is just stare. 2NE1 and Girls' Generation are two great global groups. You liked the super cutesy Gee, right? And you also liked the fiercely edgy Fire, right? I know I'm going out of the topic, but these two groups are very different from each other. I don't know why fans of these groups ramble on who's the best if they all know that everyone has a different pick.

Okay, back to Chicser and EXO. First and foremost, these two groups are very different groups when it comes to popularity. EXO's a global group while Chicser is a local Philippine group. Status pa lang, alam mo na EXO na yung nangingibabaw when it comes to popularity. That thing is clearly okay. But bashing each other? Seriously, that's immature. I'm not saying that I'm not bashing (I actually laughed when Owy called Suho "Sir Suho"), but things below the belt? Not good to bash on. I know you guys bashed on Chicser (even I did) about copying EXO's slogan, gayshits, and so on. And you also bashed on EXO saying no talent, just pure looks, and so on as well. We all bashed each other, in short. And I guess it's time to stop with these things and just... live in peace. Nobody's perfect. EXO and Chicser has their own imperfections, so it's normal that they have their own flaws. Not only that, Chicser also respects EXO (Owy with Sir Suho and Ranz with Kai-oppa, even though he should've use Kai-hyung). I just hope both fans do the same thing and just respect the fandoms itself.

It's gonna be a rough one, since there are (and always will be) immature fans. But I hope that everybody who's saying their apologies now are sincere about it. Seeing that some fans are still immature, it's going to be hard to get peace. Just like what Yixing said last time, he wants world peace. Let's do this for the sake of everybody.

Anyway, enough with that stuff. I'm gonna get ready for EXO's Overdose.
